Long After Dark Gets New Look

Long After Dark will take an uncharacteristic pause between musings to talk about its new look for a moment, namely the new logo which adorns the top of the site and the “About Long After Dark” tab. A big thank you goes out to the talented Brittany Lytle for creating the logo and for making another moment where I become jealous of her insanely gifted artistry.
The logo itself, a Mike Campbell Dussenberg Signature Model was specifically chosen as a nod to the longtime lead guitar player of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. One of my favorite musicians, Campbell has crafted some of the best, and most tasteful guitar licks to help bring music to life. In addition to his work with Petty, Campbell has also contributed the memorable guitar parts of Don Henley’s “The Boys of Summer,” The Wallflowers’  “6th Avenue Heartache,” Johnny Cash’s fantastic record Unchained, and a litany of other artists.
Thank you to Ms. Lytle for her amazing creation, Mr. Campbell for the inspiration, and to all who have read Long After Dark since its inception.
