Chumbawumba Breaks Up

On Sunday, the eclectic British alternative rock band Chumbawumba called it quits by putting out a statement on their website detailing their self-perceived failed mission as a band. The group, who topped the U.S. Top 40 charts with “Tubthumping” in 1997, was known for their politics as much as their music. They managed to put out their final album earlier this year: Chumbawumba and Red Ladder Present: Big Society! 26 years, 15 albums, and 1 omnipresent track on various “___ of the 90’s” lists, Chumbawumba 1986-2012.
